Christmas Time

No pictures to go along with this blog yet but I hate waiting so long between posts. I know I check all of the other blogs that I follow everyday and I hope to see updates!! Our whole family is really excited about Christmas - it is going to be so much fun with another little Smith in the picture now! We are truly blessed to have such a good baby - he is growing so fast - we did his weight and length yesterday and he now weighs 17 pounds 2 oz and is 27 inches long! He just turned 3 months and some of his 3-6 month clothes are getting too short. Maybe he will be a tall one - and hopefully coordinated so he can be the basketball player his daddy has been praying for! A few cool things about Jaxon - he is so happy and when he smiles his whole face lights up and his eyes sparkle. When he sleeps he scoots to the corner of the crib and sleeps with his head jammed up against the bumpers. He has a super grip - he especially loves to pull hair (mine and Gabby's most of all) - he was in his swing yesterday and Jason had to pry his hands off of the mobile because he was pulling on the little lamb and didn't want to give it up. Christmas time is always fun for our family because we get to visit with all of our extended family that we have not seen in some time. This year our plan is Christmas Eve dinner with my mom's sisters and their families - Christmas day breakfast at our house with Jammie and Granddaddy David & Grandma Ann and Graddaddy Freddie. We will slip down to Mimi's and visit with her and Bob and then around Christmas lunch - Grandma Jo and Grandaddy Nelson, Uncle Robbie and Uncle Johnny are coming to visit - Christmas dinner will be at Jammie and Granddaddy David's with Elizabeth and Adam (and hopefully Uncle Dave on the computer) - the day after Christmas dinner at Grandma Ann's with Aunt Stacey, Blake and Kierra, Aunt Rebekah, Chris, Noah and Seth - and then after church on Sunday we will go to Grandma Jo and Granddaddy Nelsons for lunch with the Aunts and Uncles and cousins! So much fun.... I am super excited!! Christmas is my favorite holiday - and I pray that Jaxon and Gabby will always remember the real reason for Christmas has nothing to do with all the presents - but it is ALL about the birth of Jesus Christ who came into this world to SAVE us all!! We are really missing Uncle Dave and hate that he's not here with us this Christmas - he is in Kuwait serving in the Army. He will be coming home in just a few weeks January 12-26 and we can hardly wait - this will be the first time that he see's Jaxon. May God's light encircle you, God's love enfold you, God's peace encourage you, God's presence enrich you this Christmas. Much Love - The Smith's
